Witch Weigh by Caroline Mickelson

Witch Weigh Review

Tessa Von Hellengaard is a real witch. Magical spells aside, she’s snarky and selfish, and the other witches in her silent spell coven are fed up with her. Their plan to reform Tessa involves taking away her magic, saddling her with one hundred extra pounds and sending her to a weight loss spa. For good measure they call in Liam Kennedy, a charming and sexy fairy godfather, to teach her some manners.

Desperate to regain her magic and determined to shed the weight, Tessa soon realizes that protecting her heart from Liam will prove to be her greatest challenge

I was needing to pass some time while waiting for my nail polish on my toes to dry (Essie has this amazing purpley grey color out called smokin’ hot….go buy it now!) . My Canasta game on my Kindle wasn’t appealing at the moment so I went looking through my downloaded books. I tapped this one by accident and I’m sort of glad I did.

Quick, light, cute read. Liam is suppose to help “change” Tessa. Teach her that her ways are wrong and help her learn now to be nice, kind, good. I had a hard time liking Tessa but she was interesting (could anybody be THAT full of themselves?!). Liam, I’m not so sure about. He was likable. But at one point he said, “I like her the way she is.” How could you mister?! I wouldn’t be surprised if she liked the smell of her own farts (bonus points if you know what cartoon that is from), she was THAT full of herself.

The road to redemption was cute though. Definitely a fast page turner. The dialogue was witty and I appreciate that in a novella.

Witch Weigh rated 3 out of 5 stars for me, the witty remarks are what saved it for me 🙂
